“The Nokia 8.3 5G offers quad-camera setup and Snapdragon 765 mid-range 5G chipset”
HMD Global launched the first Nokia 5G smartphone, during the online event. Nokia wants to announce the first-ever 5G smartphone at MWC event 2020 in February, but the event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, that’s why the company moved its launch online.
Nokia 8.3 5G: Specification
Design and display
Starting off with the design, the Nokia 8.3 5G features a circular camera setup with a glass back panel instead of the aluminum body. The fingerprint sensor is on the edge and doubles as the power button.
Nokia 8.3 5G sports a big 6.81-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD Pure Display screen with always-on HDR support and comes in a Polar Night color option. It has 20:9 aspect ratio, and 2400 x 1080p screen resolution. The device doesn’t support a high refresh rate which is really disappointing, it supports the standard 60Hz display panel, a punch-hole cutout display on the top-left.
Performance
.This smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset based on a 7nm process, which is a mid-range 5G chipset. It’s coupled with Adreno 620 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. It runs Google stock Android 10, with a promise of a 2-year Android update and 3 years of monthly security updates..
Camera
Coming to the cameras, It comes with a Quad Rear camera setup, The camera is a circular shape and powered by Zeiss Optics, It has 64MP primary camera, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 4K Ultra HD Support, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro lens.
On the front, the smartphone supports a 24MP selfie camera into the punch-hole on the front, also supports an Action Camera mode, Zeiss cinematic effects, HDR video recording, and 4K Ultra HD support. The handset runs on stock Android 10 software out of the box and is promised to receive two major software updates.
Battery
Nokia 8.3 5G equipped with a 4,500mAh battery and 18W (9V/2a) charger over Type-C.
Price
Nokia 8.3 5G price for the base model 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage set at EUR 599 (approx Rs 47,800) and EUR 649 (approx Rs 52,000) for the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device will go on sale in Europe this summer. There is no news when it comes to India.

Nokia 8.3 5G will go on sale in Summer later this year at an average price of 599 euros (around Rs. 47,999), but you can probably get a premium budget flagship for the same price in India. It comes in a single Polar Night color variant.
