Vivo iQOO 3 with Snapdragon 865 SoC, Quad-Cameras Starting at Rs. 36,990
After Realme unveiled India’s first 5G smartphone, Vivo’s gaming sub-brand iQOO has launched the second 5G phone in India. However, the iQOO 3 is now official and it brings packs with the latest features the Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G connectivity, 48MP quad-camera, fast-charging, and more.
Vivo iQOO 3: Specs and Features
iQOO becomes the 2nd phone in India after Realme X50 Pro to launch with the Snapdragon 865 SoC (7nm+) and 5G support. Starting off with the design, iQOO 3 comes with a premium glass build on the Volcano Orange (rubber matte finish), Quantum Silver, and Tornado Black variant. Its screen is protected with the Gorilla Glass 6 protection and I like the cool design and color choices here by iQOO.
Design and Display
The smartphone supports a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ E3 Super AMOLED display with a punch-hole selfie camera at the top right. The smartphone hasn’t included a high refresh rate display like POCO (budget smartphone), which is a little disappointing to the users. It supports 60FPS but It does support 180Hz touch sampling rate. This really helps you out while playing games like PUBG and you won’t miss that headshot while playing a game of PUBG.
The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2400pixels resolution, HDR10+, and 800 nits of peak brightness. iQOO 3 measures 158.5 x 74.9 x 9.2 mm and weight 214.5 grams. Other key iQOO 3 has game vibration pressure-sensitive buttons and ‘4D Game Vibration’ features on the side frame of the phone that help users achieve quick multi-finger operations while playing the game and offer an immersive gaming experience.
Camera
In the camera department, the iQOO 3 comes with a Quad-rear camera setup out of the box. Camera Include the 48MP (f/1.79) primary sensor is Sony’s IMX582 instead of the Samsung sensor, which is paired with a 13MP (f/2.46) telephoto lens with 20X digital zoom, and a 13MP (f/2.2) wide-angle lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) bokeh sensor. You get 4K @ 60fpps support, super anti-shake mode, Portrait mode, Portrait Light effects, Super Night mode, AI sticker, and 4K video recording at 60fps, Slow-mo, and more and other camera features here.
Talking about selfie cameras, It has a 16MP shooter camera placed on the top-right corner of the phone’s screen. You also get the latest in-display fingerprint sensor that is said to unlock the device in just 0.29 seconds.
Performance
Under the hood, The iQOO 3 comes with 7nm Qualcomm’s Snapdragon latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 865 coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM paired with Adreno 640 GPU up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Coming to the handset the iQOO 3 runs Android 10-based iQOO UI, which looks like improved FunTouchOS 10.
Battery
Talking about the battery the iQOO 3 comes with a 4,440mAh battery pack, along with Vivo’s 55W Super Flash Charge technology support. The good thing is that you get a 55W adapter in the box and it charges the device from 0% to 50% in just 30min as the company claims, which is really amazing.
Connectivity
In terms of connectivity, You get a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and a high-quality audio DAC, Dual 4G, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi, Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS/ GLONASS. Other features include glass-sandwich design, Hi-res audio, Ultra Game Mode, Smart Split, Game Centre, and Eye Protection mode. There is no wireless charging support that comes in this price segment that makes smartphones more premium.
