Xiaomi’s Vice President Chang Cheng has teased 40W wireless charging technology. The teaser video posted by Mr. Cheng, The Xiaomi’s new 40W wireless charging capability to charge 57% (2,280mAh) claimed to fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in just 20 minutes, and the whole 4000mAh battery fully charged in just 40 minutes.
It is unclear how much time it will take before they can get their hands on. The testing was done on a Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. Take a look at the video below.
Last year Xiaomi also showcased its 100W wired fast charging technology, but there is not much information about the technology.
Last year in September the company unveiled its 30W Mi Charge Turbo wireless charging tech at an event held in China. Xiaomi’s 30W wireless charging can charge 50% in 25 minutes and a full charge in 69 minutes on a 4,000 mAh battery. The 30W Mi Charge Turbo tech is implemented in the company’s latest flagship Mi 10 series.
Also, Vice President Chang Cheng mentions in the post that Xiaomi’s new 40W Mi Charge Turbo doesn’t cause excessive heat, unlike the current wireless charging methodologies.
