Nowadays, Video Conferencing is the most popular app in COVID-19 lockdown, and I’m pretty sure that you hear about the Zoom app. Zoom app gains huge popularity since the people have been forced to work from home due to the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
After this huge popularity, Facebook has announced Messenger Rooms feature that allows users to add up to 50 Peoples. Now the India Giant Reliance JIO also wants a piece of this pie and has today launched its own video conferencing app and named it JioMeet.
Reliance JIO meet is now live on Android and ISO platform. With this newly launched app you can able to do HD calls to your friend and make it useful for office and educational work. For this, you have to download the Jiomeet app from the Playstore and sign up for this app via email or log in via OTP (One Time Password). There is also a feature that helps you to join a video call as a guest using the conference link sent to you. It will only require a meeting ID and your name.
Once you successfully log in, you’ll see the tab on the top side having 3 menus Favorites, Recent and Contacts. If you want to start a video call, then you have to select the number and tap the ‘Video call‘ icon next to the user. The maximum call quality is set at 720p but the quality changes automatically according to your network connection same as Facebook live or Whatsapp call.
The app is very simple to use and has basic admin tools to control users. The host can mute or kill the video of any of the participants at any time. Now coming to the important question which is “How many participants you can add with this app?” Well in JioMeet you can only add up to 5 participants. But, if you upgrade it to Pro plan, then you can invite up to 100 users at a time.
All meetings in JioMeet are PIN protected for security so no one can join the meeting without admin permission. JioMeet uses SSL 128-bit encryption to ensure the security of your calls.
